We have been retained by a pioneering solar inverter and battery manufacturer, committed to driving innovation in the renewable energy sector. Their state-of-the-art products are designed to empower homes, businesses, and industries with clean, reliable, and efficient energy solutions. As they continue to expand their global footprint, we are supporting them in the search for an experienced and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead operational strategy and ensure excellence in all aspects of manufacturing and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall operations of the company, including manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and quality assurance
- Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement strategic business plans and growth initiatives
- Ensure operational processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business goals
- Oversee production facilities, ensuring product quality, innovation, and compliance with industry standards
- Optimise manufacturing operations to reduce costs, improve output, and increase profitability
- Manage global supply chains and vendor relationships to ensure the timely delivery of components and materials
- Develop and enforce performance metrics, KPIs, and operational benchmarks across departments
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance operational performance
- Oversee customer service and technical support functions to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for operational divisions
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations in manufacturing processes
- Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
- 10+ years of executive leadership experience, preferably in the renewable energy, battery, or manufacturing sector
- Proven experience in leading large-scale manufacturing operations, supply chain management, and quality control
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, analyse financial reports, and drive cost-saving initiatives
- Deep knowledge of solar inverters, battery storage technology, and renewable energy markets is a strong advantage
- Ability to drive operational transformation, including automation and lean manufacturing principles
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into operational success
- Experience with global market operations and an understanding of regulatory compliance
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions
